Dickey Lee - It's Best I Hit The Road / Honky Tonk Hearts

Description
There’s a road-worn ease to country songs about knowing when it’s time to move on. Dickey Lee brings that theme into focus with “It's Best I Hit The Road,” paired here with “Honky Tonk Hearts.” Country music has long made room for both the open road and the bright, bruised world of the honky-tonk: places where independence and heartache can sit side by side. Lee is a country singer, and these two titles meet naturally in that tradition, balancing the urge to leave with the pull of feeling. This 1979 Mercury single, catalog number 57052, holds those familiar country themes in concise form.
