Don White - Saving Up Memories / Blues Stay Away From Me

Description
Don White brings two country titles together on this Carol single: “Saving Up Memories” and “Blues Stay Away From Me.” Country music has long made room for both the tender pull of recollection and the weary clarity of the blues, letting a plainspoken song carry feelings that are anything but simple. That pairing gives this release an inviting point of entry, with familiar themes held in balance rather than reduced to one mood. The songs also hint at the rich overlap between country and blues traditions, where heartache and hard-won perspective have always found a home. Look for Don White on Carol, catalog number 45-1301.
