Donna Summer - Dim All The Lights / There Will Always Be A You

Description
Donna Summer brings “Dim All The Lights” into the rich, inviting world of disco, where a steady pulse and a memorable melody can make a song feel both intimate and made for the dance floor. Disco grew from Black and queer dance cultures, building communal spaces around rhythm, warmth and release; Summer’s performance belongs to that tradition of music that welcomes listeners into the groove. On Casablanca, NB 2201, the flip side offers “There Will Always Be A You,” adding another title to a pairing that keeps the focus on Summer’s voice. The record dates from 1979, when disco was a defining sound of the era.
