Dorothy Lerner - Father Of This Moment / City Girl

Description
Dorothy Lerner opens with “Father Of This Moment,” a title that places the song in the intimate, personal territory where singer-songwriters often meet the softer edges of rock. In the early 1970s, that blend made room for direct songwriting and rock’s steady pulse without demanding a heavy-handed approach. Lerner’s 1974 single pairs that track with “City Girl,” bringing a second title into the conversation and leaving space for listeners to find their own way between the two. Released on Crunch Records as CRA-018005, it belongs to a period when pop rock could feel both close-up and expansive, with the song itself at the center.
