Dorothy Moore - Here It Is / Misty Blue

Description
A 1975 Malaco Records single, catalog number M 1029, brings together two titles associated with Dorothy Moore: “Here It Is” and “Misty Blue.” The side listing spells the name as Dorthy Moore for “Here It Is,” while “Misty Blue” is credited to Dorothy Moore. Moore is a soul singer, and this release sits in the rich meeting ground of funk and rhythm & blues, where groove and expressive vocals share the spotlight. These styles carry a long tradition of making songs feel direct and human, whether the mood turns tender or the beat grows more insistent. Here, the two titles make that pairing part of the record’s identity.
