Dorothy Moore - Write A Little Prayer / (We Need More) Loving Time

Description
There’s a lovely ease to soul when it lets a small gesture carry the feeling. Dorothy Moore brings that spirit to “Write A Little Prayer,” paired here with “(We Need More) Loving Time.” Released in 1978 on Malaco, catalog number 1054, the single sits in the warm territory where funk’s rhythmic pull meets the directness of rhythm and blues. That blend gives the songs’ titles a natural place in soul’s long tradition of turning everyday words into invitations to connect. Moore is a soul singer, and this release keeps the focus on the heart of the form: a voice, a phrase, and the possibility of a little more time together.
