Dorothy Moore - Write A Little Prayer / (We Need More) Loving Time

Description
“Write A Little Prayer” is a fine place to meet Dorothy Moore: a title that carries the intimacy of soul’s most enduring tradition, where a personal plea can feel like a conversation shared with everyone in the room. On the flip, “(We Need More) Loving Time” turns toward another tender subject, giving this 1978 single a lovely thread of connection between its two songs. Moore’s soul and rhythm-and-blues setting makes that thread feel at home in a tradition built on direct emotion and memorable phrasing. Issued by Malaco as 1054, the record speaks to soul’s lasting gift: making private feelings feel wonderfully human.
