Dr. Hook - Mountain Mary / Better Love Next Time

Description
Capitol’s 1979 single, catalog number 4785, brings Dr. Hook into the warm, melodic world of pop rock. “Mountain Mary” and “Better Love Next Time” offer two distinct titles from an era when rock’s easygoing side could make room for both a touch of storytelling and a polished pop sensibility. Soft rock often finds its appeal in that balance: songs shaped for close attention, yet inviting enough to settle into everyday life. Dr. Hook’s name is the thread connecting these tracks, while the contrast between their titles gives this U.S. pressing its own small point of curiosity. The record belongs to a tradition that prizes melody and approachability.
