Dr. Hook - Sexy Eyes / Mountain Mary

Description
“Sexy Eyes” opens a window onto the easygoing side of late-1970s pop, where disco’s steady pulse could meet a relaxed, song-first sensibility. Dr. Hook brings that balance to this 1979 single, pairing the title with “Mountain Mary” for a second turn in the same finely mixed world of pop and rock. Disco often made the dance floor feel welcoming rather than demanding, while downtempo moods offered room to settle into a melody; the meeting of those traditions gives this pairing its particular character. Issued on Capitol as 7C 006-86034, this Swedish pressing holds two distinct titles from Dr. Hook’s pop repertoire.
