Dueto Estrella - Paloma Mia / Los Requisitos

Description
There’s a story-telling heart to corrido, where a song can carry a tale with the plainspoken pull of conversation. Dueto Estrella brings that tradition into a norteño setting on this 1981 single, pairing “Paloma Mia” with “Los Requisitos.” Corridos have long made room for everyday concerns and memorable characters, while norteño’s regional roots give the style a strong sense of place. The two titles appear on Th-Mex, catalog number TH-MEX 693, issued in the USA. Together, they offer a compact encounter with a living musical tradition: one in which songs keep stories close, and the telling matters as much as the tune.
