Dynamic Superiors - Shoe Shoe Shine / Release Me

Description
There’s a lovely ease to soul when it lets a groove do the talking. Dynamic Superiors bring that spirit to “Shoe Shoe Shine,” a Motown 7-inch from 1974, with “Release Me” on the flip. The sound of soul grew from gospel’s emotional directness and rhythm and blues’ steady pulse, turning both into music made for voices, movement and connection. That tradition gives these two titles a natural place together: one bright and playful in name, the other carrying the plainspoken pull of a familiar phrase. Issued as Motown M 1324F, this single belongs to a period when soul’s rich vocal language sat comfortably alongside a firm, dance-ready beat.
