Edward Paul - A Letter To Ann / Trinket To Hang On Your Mind

Description
Edward Paul’s 1976 7-inch single pairs “A Letter To Ann” with “Trinket To Hang On Your Mind,” two titles that bring the personal touch of country songwriting right to the fore. Country has long made room for songs that speak in the language of everyday gestures and private feelings, turning a letter or a keepsake into a way of holding someone close. That tradition gives this release a simple, human point of entry: the songs’ titles suggest small tokens with meaning beyond their size. Issued on Bel-Mar as catalog number 299, the single belongs to a tradition built on direct address and intimate detail.
