Electric Light Orchestra / Elo - Hold On Tight / When Time Stood Still

Description
“Hold On Tight” and “When Time Stood Still” bring two sides of Electric Light Orchestra’s pop-rock world together on this 1981 seven-inch single. The first title carries the full Electric Light Orchestra credit; the second appears under Elo, a shorter name that shares the release with it. Issued by Jet Records as ZS5 02408 in the United States, the single draws on rock and roll’s knack for making a compact song feel like an invitation to join in, while pop gives that directness a memorable shape. There’s a pleasing little story in seeing both names meet on one record: the music’s identity can travel under more than one name.
