Electric Light Orchestra - Fire On High / Sweet Talkin’ Woman

Description
Released in 1977, this United States 7-inch single pairs Electric Light Orchestra’s “Fire On High” with “Sweet Talkin’ Woman,” bringing two different sides of the group’s grand pop-rock world together. ELO drew on the scale and color of symphonic rock while keeping the pull of a pop song close at hand: a tradition where classical ambition and rock’s directness can share the same stage. “Fire On High” and “Sweet Talkin’ Woman” make that contrast the heart of the release, with each title pointing toward a distinct corner of the band’s repertoire. Issued by Jet Records as JT-XW1145, it captures pop’s appetite for big ideas in a compact form.
