Elton John - Young Man's Blues / Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Description
Soft rock can make a private moment feel grand without raising its voice. Elton John brings that gift to this 1973 single, where “Young Man's Blues” meets “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” two titles that invite different kinds of reflection without needing a grand explanation. The early-seventies soft-rock tradition often balanced the intimacy of a piano-led song with the sweep of rock, making room for melody and feeling to carry equal weight. Released on Mca Records as MCA-40148, this 7-inch single places John’s name beside one of the era’s enduringly recognizable song titles. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” remains a striking phrase in the language of popular music.
