Eric Weissberg & Deliverance / Eric Weissberg - Reuben's Train / Dueling Banjos

Description
“Reuben's Train” brings Eric Weissberg & Deliverance into the old-time banjo tradition, where tunes travel by ear, gather new turns, and keep their rhythmic pull close to the ground. The other side, “Dueling Banjos,” puts Eric Weissberg’s name front and center, linking the record to a piece of screen music that made a traditional instrument part of a wider popular conversation. Together, the titles trace a path between inherited roots and soundtrack storytelling without leaving the banjo behind. Released in 1973 on Warner Bros. Records as GWB 0309, this U.S. single captures how a familiar folk tradition can find fresh life on screen.
