Eydie Gorme - What's Good About Goodbye? / Softly, As I Leave You

Description
Eydie Gorme brings two farewells into conversation on this Columbia single, catalog number 4-43971. “What’s Good About Goodbye?” carries the question on its sleeve, while “Softly, As I Leave You” offers a second title with a different spelling of her name: Eydie Gormé. The pairing sits naturally in the tradition of orchestral and traditional pop, where a clear vocal line can give a parting song both polish and intimacy. Gorme was a pop singer, and these titles place her at the center of that enduring style: music built around memorable melodies and the emotional weight of saying goodbye.
