Ferrante & Teicher - Street Of Palms (Via Margalene) / Smile

Description
Ferrante & Teicher bring a touch of easy-listening pop to “Street Of Palms (Via Margalene),” a title that suggests a little journey before a note has even sounded. The duo’s name is closely associated with piano music, an instrument that can turn a popular melody into something intimate and unhurried. Here, that tradition meets the concise charm of the 7-inch single: a small record with room for a tune to linger in the mind. On the flip, “Smile” offers a familiar song title and a different point of entry. Issued by United Artists as UA 431, this USA pressing connects two pieces through the enduring appeal of melody.
