Five Flights Up - Black Cat / Do What You Wanna Do

Description
Five Flights Up open with “Black Cat,” then turn to “Do What You Wanna Do” for a pair of titles that invite a little mystery and a lot of freedom. Their soul sits in a tradition where groove and feeling belong together: a steady pulse gives the voice room to lean in, while funk’s rhythmic snap keeps things moving. The contrast between a prowling image and an open-ended declaration makes this single especially intriguing without giving either title away. Issued on T/A as catalog number 202, it comes from the enduring conversation between soul’s emotional directness and funk’s dance-minded drive—a tradition built on making expression move.
