Flaco Jimenez Y Su Conjunto - Blanca Rosa / El Bolsa Vacia

Description
Blanca Rosa gives this 1980 single its name, while El Bolsa Vacia brings the other title into the story. Flaco Jimenez Y Su Conjunto works in conjunto, a borderland tradition where the accordion carries melodies shaped by Mexican dance music and polka, with ranchera close at hand. That mix has a lively sense of movement, yet its roots are in social music: tunes made to travel from the bandstand to the dance floor and back again. Issued in the USA on Di Na as DINA-180, this record sits within a tradition built on rhythm, melody, and the accordion’s unmistakable voice.
