Foster/Mcelroy - Desperately / Gotta Be A Better Way

Description
Foster/Mcelroy’s 1985 single brings two titles into the lively conversation between soul and rhythm and blues: “Desperately” and “Gotta Be A Better Way.” Contemporary R&B, funk and new jack swing draw on a deep tradition of making rhythm the heart of a song, while soul keeps the human voice close to the center. That blend gives this release a place in a lineage where groove and feeling belong together, and where R&B continues to find fresh shapes without losing its roots. Issued in the USA by Atlantic as catalog number 7-88879, this 7-inch single holds two distinct song titles from Foster/Mcelroy.
