Four Tops - H.E.L.P. / Inside A Brokenhearted Man

Description
The 1978 single pairs “H.E.L.P.” with “Inside A Brokenhearted Man,” bringing the Four Tops into the soulful world of late-seventies funk and soul. Soul music has long made room for both the urge to reach out and the ache of carrying on alone; these two titles place those feelings side by side without needing to spell out a story for either one. The Four Tops are a soul group, and this release connects their name with a tradition built around expressive voices and emotional directness. Issued by Abc Records as AB-12427, it holds two strikingly human phrases in close company.
