Gary Wright - Much Higher / Love Is Alive

Description
Gary Wright brings two sides of his rock songwriting together here: “Much Higher” opens the record, while “Love Is Alive” takes the other side. The pairing gives the single a clear place in the pop-rock sound of the mid-1970s, when concise songs carried big ideas into everyday listening. Wright was a rock musician, and this release keeps the focus on the songs themselves rather than grand gestures. Issued by Warner Bros. Records as WBS 8143 in the USA in 1975, it offers a neat meeting point between two titles from the same writer-performer. The two sides preserve the shape of a single built around distinct songs.
