Genesis - Duchess / Open Door

Description
Genesis bring two distinct songs together on this 1980 release: “Duchess” and “Open Door.” The band’s progressive rock meets the concise form of the single here, a meeting that gives each title room to stand on its own while keeping the focus on songcraft. Progressive rock has long made space for shifting structures and expansive ideas, yet its best moments can feel direct and memorable rather than forbidding. Issued in the UK as a 7-inch single, this release pairs those qualities in a compact format. It appeared on The Famous Charisma Label as CB 363, a telling document of Genesis in 1980.
