George Jones - We Oughta Be Ashamed / Someday My Day Will Come

Description
George Jones brings two carefully titled songs together on this 1979 Epic single, catalog number 8-50684: “We Oughta Be Ashamed” and “Someday My Day Will Come.” Jones is a country singer, and that tradition has long made room for songs that turn everyday heartache and hope into plainspoken stories. These titles sit naturally in that storytelling lineage, setting a moment of regret beside a promise of better days without needing to spell out the tale. The contrast gives the record its small, appealing arc: one title looks back with rueful candor, the other forward with patience. Both belong to George Jones.
