George Jones - Wild Irish Rose / No Future For Me In Our Past

Description
Mca Records’ 1998 release brings George Jones to a pair of country songs, “Wild Irish Rose” and “No Future For Me In Our Past.” Country music has always made room for the tender and the plainspoken, finding lasting weight in familiar words about love, memory and the turns a life can take. Jones’s place in that tradition gives these titles a human scale: one evokes a rose, the other a past that cannot be reclaimed. Issued as MCAS7 72038 in the USA, this single keeps its focus on the essentials—two songs, and the enduring country art of making feeling direct.
