George Mccrae - I Ain't Lyin' / You Got To Know

Description
George Mccrae’s 1975 7-inch single brings together “I Ain’t Lyin’” and “You Got To Know,” two titles that place this release firmly in the era when soul and disco were finding a shared groove. McCrae is a soul singer, and that tradition gives the record its natural setting: direct, rhythmic songs built for the close connection between voice and beat. Issued in the USA by T. K. Records as catalog number 1014, it belongs to a moment when dance music was drawing fresh energy from soul’s expressive roots. The pairing captures that meeting in two concise, distinctly named songs.
