Gerry & The Pacemakers - Skinny Minnie / It's Gonna Be Alright

Description
Laurie’s LR 3293 pairs Gerry & The Pacemakers with “Skinny Minnie” and “It's Gonna Be Alright,” two titles that place a lively beat-pop release in the bright, direct world of early pop rock. Gerry & The Pacemakers are a pop group, and this single reflects the era’s knack for making compact songs feel immediate: a strong tune, a clear pulse, and no need for grand gestures. The beat tradition grew from the meeting of rock and roll energy with concise pop songwriting, built for songs that get to the point. Here, the two contrasting titles make that straightforward approach part of the appeal.
