Glen Campbell - Hava Nagila / True Grit

Description
“Hava Nagila” and “True Grit” make an unusual, inviting pairing on this Glen Campbell single: one title reaches toward a familiar folk tradition, the other names a Western story. Campbell was a country singer, and that country sensibility sits naturally beside music’s long habit of carrying melodies and stories across settings, letting old forms find new company. Released by Capitol as catalog number 2573, this United States pressing brings the two selections together without asking them to be more alike than they are. The contrast is part of the appeal: a reminder that a single can open two distinct doors into the broad, ever-changing world of country music.
