Glenn Miller And His Orchestra - Adios / Little Brown Jug

Description
On Rca Gold Standard, this 1939 recording brings Glenn Miller And His Orchestra to a 7-inch single with “Adios” and “Little Brown Jug.” Big-band swing thrives on the meeting of a full ensemble and a steady dance pulse, turning tightly arranged instrumental music into something made to move with. Miller’s orchestra is closely associated with that sound, and these two titles place its music in the lively world of prewar swing. The label and catalog number, 447-0031, identify this United States pressing. “Adios” and “Little Brown Jug” keep the focus on the orchestra itself, where instrumental swing finds its voice in the ensemble.
