Gone All Stars - 7-11 / Down Yonder Rock

Description
“7-11” gets the story moving, while “Down Yonder Rock” carries it onward: two inviting titles from the Gone All Stars, whose instrumental rock draws on the lively meeting of rhythm and blues and early rock & roll. That tradition thrives on a strong pulse, nimble playing and the shared language of dance music, where a tune can say plenty without a singer taking the lead. Here, the titles give the two sides their own character, with no need to dress them up in a larger tale. Gone Records issued the single as Gone 5016, a neat marker of instrumental rock’s enduring place in the rock & roll family.
