Grady Martin And The Slewfoot Five - Anytime / Down The River Of Golden Dreams

Description
“Anytime” meets “Down The River Of Golden Dreams” on this Decca 25605 single, credited to Grady Martin And The Slewfoot Five. Country music has always made room for more than one kind of company: the plainspoken pull of a country song can sit easily beside the bounce and brass-minded spirit of Dixieland, while honky-tonk keeps its own lively edge. That mix of traditions gives this pairing a welcome sense of musical crossroads without asking either title to fit a narrow mold. Grady Martin’s name is tied to country music, a tradition that thrives on bringing familiar forms into fresh conversation.
