Grand Funk Railroad - Closer To Home / Aimless Lady

Description
“Closer To Home” and “Aimless Lady” make a striking pairing: one title suggests a pull toward belonging, the other a restless turn away. Grand Funk Railroad bring both sides together on a 7-inch single from Capitol, catalog 2877, rooted in the direct, guitar-led language of classic rock. Rock has always made room for songs that meet big feelings head-on, with sturdy rhythms and an unvarnished vocal at the center; these two titles set up an appealing contrast within that tradition. The record’s compact format suits the sharp focus of a single, while the pairing leaves space for two distinct moods. Grand Funk Railroad are the thread tying them together.
