Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians - Auld Lang Syne (Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot?) / Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight

Description
Here’s a little big-band sparkle with a familiar seasonal turn. Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians bring two old favorites together: “Auld Lang Syne (Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot?)” and “Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight.” Lombardo was a bandleader, and this pairing sits at the crossroads of vocal pop and jazz, where brass-led dance music could carry a tune from a living room singalong to the ballroom floor. The Decca single, catalog number 28905, was pressed in the United States. “Auld Lang Syne” has long made the act of remembering part of a communal tradition; here it shares the record with a song built around celebration.
