Hello / Rebel - Seven Rainy Days / Hello

Description
Arista Records’ 1976 German single brings together two names on one sleeve: Hello and Rebel. Hello’s “Seven Rainy Days” shares the record with Rebel’s “Hello,” a pairing that gives the title a neat double meaning without asking either track to explain itself. Glam rock loved its bright theatrical gestures, while pub rock kept a closer connection to the immediacy of a live set; pop rock could make room for both instincts. That blend of styles makes this release an intriguing little meeting point. The label and catalog number, Arista Records 1C 006-98 435, mark a specific moment in British pop and rock’s varied 1970s landscape.
