Herb Ohta - Feelings / Fragments

Description
Herb Ohta brings a distinctive voice to this 1975 single, where easy listening meets the supple pulse of funk, soul and jazz. A Japanese musician known for playing the ukulele, Ohta connects the instrument’s intimate, singing tone with a tradition that has always welcomed nimble rhythms and expressive melody. “Feelings” shares the release with “Fragments,” a pairing that invites the ear to linger on the space between a memorable tune and a lighter touch. Issued in the United States by A&M Records as catalog number 1727-S, this 7-inch single finds a familiar instrument at home in a broad, welcoming musical conversation.
