Hot Chocolate - Emma / A Love Like Yours

Description
Hot Chocolate’s 1974 single pairs “Emma” with “A Love Like Yours,” bringing two intimate love songs together at the crossroads of soul, pop and rock. The British group’s music sits comfortably in a tradition where a strong melody and a direct emotional story can make a song feel personal without losing its place on the dance floor. Here, the titles themselves set a tender, human frame for the release, while the styles associated with it move between ballad warmth, disco’s pulse and pop-rock energy. Issued in the United States by Big Tree Records as BT-16031, it reflects the era’s easy traffic between soulful feeling and polished pop craft.
