J. Hines & The Fellows - Camelot Time / Victory Strut

Description
De Luxe’s 1973 7-inch single pairs J. Hines & The Fellows with “Camelot Time” and “Victory Strut,” two titles that carry the spirit of funk’s knack for turning a tight groove into a shared occasion. Funk grew from soul’s rhythmic pull, letting bass, drums and clipped accents make the beat feel both grounded and ready to move. There’s a pleasure in a single that keeps its focus on that direct exchange: a band name, two concise titles, and music built for the moment. Issued as De Luxe #150 in the USA, this release belongs to a tradition where rhythm itself can be the invitation.
