Jean Gabin - Maintenant Je Sais (But Now I Know) / But Now I Know

Description
This 1976 7-inch pairs “Maintenant Je Sais (But Now I Know)” with “But Now I Know,” bringing two closely linked titles together around the feeling of arriving at understanding. Jean Gabin was an actor, and chanson française has long made room for songs that carry a story in a voice shaped by words as much as melody. That tradition gives this pop release an appealing point of connection: the title turns toward what experience teaches, while its English counterpart makes the thought plain. Issued in the USA on Overseas Wax, catalog number OW 300, it links a French song tradition with an English-language title.
