Jean Shepard - A Real Good Woman / The Trouble With Girls

Description
Capitol Records 2180 brings Jean Shepard into the small, direct world of the country single, where a song can turn on a sharp line and a recognisable human tangle. “A Real Good Woman” sits alongside “The Trouble With Girls,” two titles that place women’s experience and romantic complication at the heart of the record without needing a grand frame. Shepard was a country singer, and that tradition has long made room for plainspoken stories of love, pride, and trouble, delivered with clarity rather than ornament. This USA pressing keeps the focus on the songs themselves: concise country storytelling, built to make every word count.
