Jean Shy - Our Love Is Lost / Don't Touch Me

Description
Jean Shy brings two contrasting titles together here: “Our Love Is Lost” and “Don’t Touch Me,” a pairing that puts heartache beside a firm boundary without needing a story filled in around them. Issued as a 7-inch single on Honsu Records, catalog HNS-1000 B-1002, it sits in the rich meeting ground of soul, disco and Northern Soul. That tradition thrives on songs built for both feeling and movement: emotional directness carried into the room by a strong groove. Shy’s name anchors this release, while the two titles leave space for listeners to make their own connection between longing and self-possession—two enduring threads in soul music.
