Jennifer Holliday / Dreamgirls Original Broadway Cast - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going / Fake Your Way To The Top

Description
Jennifer Holliday brings “And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going” to the heart of this 1982 release, where Broadway storytelling meets the direct emotional language of soul. In the theatre, a song can carry a character’s turning point in a single voice; soul gives that declaration a tradition of turning feeling into something shared. Here, the title itself places the drama plainly before us. The flip side, credited to Dreamgirls Original Broadway Cast, is “Fake Your Way To The Top,” keeping the musical’s stage world in view. Geffen Records issued the United States pressing as 7-29983, joining two songs from the show’s world.
