Jerry Butler - Are You Happy / (Strange) I Still Love You

Description
“Are You Happy” opens a tender question, and Jerry Butler answers its emotional pull from the other side with “(Strange) I Still Love You.” Butler was a soul singer, a tradition built on giving private feelings the weight and shape of a shared story. These two titles turn on love and uncertainty, themes that have long found a natural home in soul, where intimacy can feel both personal and universal. Released on Mercury as catalog number 72876, this 7-inch single keeps the focus on Butler’s voice and the enduring language of devotion: sometimes love remains, even when happiness is harder to name.
