Jim Croce - One Less Set Of Footsteps / Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels)

Description
Jim Croce was a singer-songwriter, and these two songs put the craft of the song right at the center. “One Less Set Of Footsteps” opens the record with a title that suggests a story already in motion; flip it over for “Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels),” whose parenthetical title gives the listener a second, more intimate doorway in. Croce’s folk-rock world belongs to a tradition built on direct language and the close bond between songwriter and audience, where a small detail can carry a whole life. Issued by Golddiggers as ZS8 4516, this 1973 single holds two distinct titles in one compact encounter with his songwriting.
