Jim Stafford - Spiders & Snakes / Undecided

Description
Jim Stafford brings a storyteller’s touch to “Spiders & Snakes,” where country and folk meet in the long tradition of songs that turn everyday mishaps into a tale worth sharing. The appeal is in that familiar art of musical storytelling: a clear premise, a twist of humor, and room for the listener to join in. Stafford is a country singer-songwriter, and this 1973 British single on Mgm, catalog number 2006 374, places his writing at the heart of the record. The other side, “Undecided,” offers a second title to discover, while the pairing keeps the focus on the playful possibilities of songcraft.
