Jimmie Skinner - The Cork And The Bottle / Let's Say Goodbye Like We Said Hello

Description
“The Cork And The Bottle” opens a little story that finds its answer in “Let's Say Goodbye Like We Said Hello,” with Jimmie Skinner bringing country music’s gift for making everyday choices feel close to the heart. Country songs have long found their way through love, parting and the small rituals people use to mark a change; these titles sit naturally in that tradition, suggesting a meeting and a farewell without needing to spell out the whole tale. Skinner was a country singer, and that connection gives this Starday release its plainspoken footing. Catalog number 669 ties these two songs to the concise storytelling at country music’s core.
