Jimmy Buffett - Margaritaville / Miss You So Badly

Description
Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” turns a laid-back escape into a lasting piece of country rock, with the easygoing storytelling that makes the song feel like a place you can settle into. Buffett was a singer-songwriter, and here the tale’s relaxed sway carries a sharper edge beneath its sunny surface. The song arrived in 1977, when rock and country traditions were often meeting in songs built around plainspoken stories and memorable hooks. On the flip, “Miss You So Badly” brings the focus back to longing. Issued by Abc Records as AB-12254, this United States pressing captures Buffett working in the country-rock territory that gives “Margaritaville” its enduring character.
