Jody Watley - Precious Love / Precious Love (Instrumental)

Description
Jody Watley’s “Precious Love” belongs to the enduring soul tradition of making intimacy feel expansive: a personal sentiment carried with the poise and polish of contemporary R&B. The 1990 single pairs the title song with “Precious Love (Instrumental),” giving the central composition room to stand on its own without words. Soul has always welcomed both the directness of a voice and the expressive space around it, and this pairing makes that contrast part of the record’s appeal. Issued in the United States on Mca Records as MCA-53790, it captures Watley in a moment when soul and contemporary R&B met naturally on a 7-inch single.
