Joe & Eddie Featuring Eddie Brown - Petticoat White (Summer Sky Blue) / I Got You

Description
“Petticoat White (Summer Sky Blue)” brings Joe & Eddie Featuring Eddie Brown into a tradition where folk song and gospel expression meet: direct melodies, close attention to the voice, and feeling carried through the telling. The title has a light touch, while “I Got You” offers a second phrase to hold alongside it, giving this Gnp Crescendo Records single, GNP 355x, its own small arc. Gospel and vocal folk have long made room for both communal warmth and intimate address, letting a song feel shared without losing its personal center. Here, the titles themselves suggest that useful balance between affection and steadfastness.
