Joe Simon - For Your Love, Love, Love / I've Got A Jones On You Baby

Description
Soul has a way of making a direct address feel like a whole conversation. Joe Simon brings that tradition to the fore on this 1977 single, pairing “For Your Love, Love, Love” with “I've Got A Jones On You Baby.” The titles speak in the candid language of devotion and desire that has long given soul its intimate pull: a feeling made public, yet still personal. Simon was a soul singer, and this release from Spring Records, catalog SP 178, places his voice within that expressive tradition. The record’s two titles keep their focus on love, where soul’s plainspoken warmth finds enduring meaning.
